Rio Grande Nordic Trail
The Aspen Snowmass Nordic Council helps fund trail grooming for cross-country trails between Aspen and Snowmass. The Rio Grande trail stretches to Glenwood Springs on the old Rio Grande Railway. When snow conditions are right, the City of Aspen grooms the trail to Basalt for 16 miles of skiing. This image was taken on January 19, 2008 during the Town to Town Tour sponsored by Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers. For more information about the event visit www.rfov.org
